PSALM 23:4

Trust God even when you’re going through frightening, uncertain, or difficult circumstances. David isn’t saying that trouble won’t come—he’s saying he doesn’t have to face it alone.

• “Valley of the shadow of death” — times of fear, hardship, uncertainty, or danger.

• “I will fear no evil” — confidence that God is greater than what you’re facing.

• “Thou art with me” — the heart of the verse: God’s presence is the source of comfort.

• “Thy rod and thy staff” — symbols of God’s protection, guidance, and care.

You may have to walk through the valley, but you don’t have to walk through it alone.
